Newborn sessions are done in your home as a lifestyle session or as a studio session. I have everything you need for your session! Newborn sessions work best within the first 12 days of birth, however I also understand that things happen and you might not be able to do your session within that time frame.  I do not turn a newborn away based on age!  I am experienced in photographing older newborns as well.  Baby sessions are also done both in studio or outdoor! You also have the option to include both studio and outdoor in your session. Please contact me for more information about session details! 

As a mom I know how quickly these moments pass by. Not only do I want to capture your sweet, squishy new baby, but I want to capture the emotion and excitement that goes with it! Choosing a mix of posed and lifestyle sessions are a great way to do both.

Newborn & Baby Experience

There are a few things you can do to help your baby prepare for your newborn session.  Keeping your baby awake a couple hours before you come will help them be ready to sleep when They arrive at the studio. If you have a long drive I suggest  arriving a little bit early and feeding baby right before we start.  Please bring baby in a zip up sleeper that is easy to take off. That way, if baby is sleeping we won't disturb them as much.

2. What to bring

I have all the wraps and cute outfits, hair bows, props, etc. that we will need for your session. However, if you have something you would like to bring (a heirloom, blanket, nursery item, or outfit) please do! I also HIGHLY recommend bringing a pacifier for your baby (even if you don't plan on using on at home.) A pacifier is all I have to comfort your baby and it really helps your session go smoothly. 

I recommend mom and dad bring a neutral colored shirt and jeans for session.  I have dresses for mom as well! Please come dressed in cool comfy clothing though for the session. I keep my studio VERY warm for the baby and I do not want you to get overheated. 

3. what to wear

Each session is geared toward your preference in color and style! Please let me know what colors you like and if you are looking for a certain style. For example if you want more life-style or posed images.  The session is about YOU and your new baby and I want to do my best to create the perfect session. 

4. what to expect at your session

I love including family members in your session. When it comes to little siblings or fur babies, safety always comes first.  Sometimes siblings (usually 3 and under) aren't wanting to snuggle their new baby yet. Although I do my best to encourage the picture, I won't risk safety of baby if I feel like it is not going to work.   MOST of the time I am able to get all the images you are wanting.  Same for pets, As long as everyone is safe, I love including your fur babies as well. My goal is to create the best family portraits possible for you!

Newborn Pricing

All of my sessions include my time and talent and high-resolution digital files. You can always purchase additional prints or albums from your online collection if you wish! I do not have a minimum purchase, and you are welcome to print and share your images.  
My studio is located in Beckley, WV However, in home lifestyle sessions are available as well.

I offer 2 newborn packages

PACKAGE 1 is $599 
 includes:
40 minute session
15 high resolution digital images

PACKAGE 2 is $799 and includes:
90 minute session
30-40 high resolution digital images
11×14 fine art print


I also offer a birth to year package!

The year long package includes newborn, 6 months, and one year session as well as a 8×8 album with images from each session. The sessions all include 30 high resolution digital images. The total for this package is $1500. This is over $500 savings.  
My baby session pricing is the same as children/family pricing. For more information please contact me. I love shooting milestone sessions for baby.
